Originally I used this rig as a rock crawler. I would head to our local off-road park every weekend to try the hardest trails. Eventually my love of hiking meshed with having a off-road capable vehicle and the overland build started.
However, it was a looonnng process. The build started right during the Covid-19 pandemic. Supply chains were erupted. Lead times increased. and prices went up.
Finally starting to dial things in now (March 2022) with big trips planned. The Jeep will be paid off in a few months and then its on to the next overland build (Toyota Time!), but I will continue to keep the Jeep due to the rarity of the 2 door Recon package (2800 made) and the ability to go anywhere with no worries of hurting the vehicle.
