Twisted came home on a flatbed trailer with the engine in the backseat when I was a kid. My dad rebuilt it to sell but ended up keeping. Over the years it has been modified and then eventually handed down to me as my very first vehicle at age 16. In the time that it has been mine, the rear axle was swapped for a Ford 8.8, the failing V8 that had been swapped in years before was replaced with one I rebuilt with my dad at age 17.
When I was 18, I wrecked it, causing lots of damage to the front end. This is how the jeep got the name Twisted. As a result, I finally got tube fenders and short tube headers. The rest was pieced together in a similar manner to how it looked before. The original flames were repainted in 2014 but began to peel. The hood was refinished blue in 2017.
Recently, it has gotten new blackout rims by Pro Comp, new Milestar Tires and a new Smittybilt stinger front bumper with a Smittybilt XRC winch. In the coming months, the flames will be repainted.
