Purchased from a guy in Oklahoma in 2015, the white TJ was everything I wanted in a Jeep. While it was far from stock when I bought it, I quickly realized 35” tires were not going to cut it for me.
I knew I wanted 40s but how to get there? My wheelbase was wrong and I had no storage room. Then I came across an article all about the TJ-6, I was hooked.
Out came the sawzall and next thing I knew I had 2 pieces of a 98 Jeep Wrangler. A couple of months later I had it pieced back together, complete with new Genright body armor and a poison spyder LJ roll cage. Since then it’s gone under the knife another couple times - most recently getting a new heart transplant.
Nowadays there is a 6.0 LS engine that lives in place of the 4.0. Backing that up is a 4l80e trans and an Atlas transfer case. The drivetrain sits low, very similar to Genright’s Tracer builds. In fact, I used Genright’s Tracer engine mounts and exhaust. Everything else is custom built to the TJ-6.
