My Dad bought this 2005 Jeep Rubicon in 2006. It was used in the prior years Jeep Jamboree. Every corner was caved in and it had major electrical issues. Over the years my Dad had some brand I can’t remember do a short arm suspension and 4” lift. I inherited this Jeep even though I drove it every day anyway. When It was time for the upgrades I could never convince my Dad to do I went to his friend, Mel Wade. I asked Mel for advice on what should be done and what I didn’t like about the Jeep and so on. Never in my wildest dreams did I think he was serious when he offered to make a custom long arm suspension for the old TJ. That’s exactly what he did. That along with coil overs and trusses and custom exhaust to make everything fit. Wow. This TJ rides like a dream and with 12” of downward travel, it’s more than capable off road. This is truly a one off TJ. If you see it on the road,, it’s THE real EVO TJ!
