Owned and built by Justin Andrew. Purchased in 2008. In my younger years, dad test drove TJ's in '97 when looking for a new wheeling rig, and told myself at that time I'd own a TJ someday.
The Jeep was purchased as a mildly wrecked vehicle in Oct 2008, all repairs and mods except paint were done in-house. The Jeep has gone through several different versions since then, starting with a 4" lift and 33's on stock 3.07's, then 4.88's, lockers and rear Super 35 in 2010. Most recent iteration is a front and rear stretch totaling 105" wheelbase, on 39” KM3s.
The Jeep got the name of Jekyll circa 2008-2009 when the Jeep was a mild build with a bolt-on lift kit and 33's. After completing an obstacle, a friend piped up explaining that it needed to be called Jekyll because it looked mild, but took on another personality when climbing the obstacle. The name stuck.
