Always wanted to build a rig from the ground up and new it needed to be an older Jeep. Our CJ3B is great but wanted a little longer wheel base and rear steer. Got the 69 Jeepster for my son but as we got into it it had a lot of rust and a damaged frame. So we found him a 71 that we will are building for him. That started the ball rolling on Dad’s new jeep build. Custom built the frame with a 4 link rear, 3 link front and 14” ORI’s.
2008 front super duty axle that I tubed with 1/2” DOM, RCV axle shafts, Motive 5.13 gears, ARB locker, Motobilt high steer-track bar mount,PSC hydraulic ram assist, Barns4WD truss and link mounts.
2009 rear Dana super 60 low pinion rear tubed with 1/2” DOM tubes, 2008 inner C’s, knuckles, RVC custom shafts, Dana 70 carrier with 5.13 gears, Barns4WD truss and link mounts.
Motobilt front and rear universal winch plates with Smittybilt XRC9500 front and 12000 rear.
Front clip is CJ7 hood, grille with Metal Cloak inner and outer fenders. Needed the additional 5-3/4” of hood length for the L96 6.0 liter engine.
69 Jeepster Commando body comp cut in rear for the rear steering, chopped tailgate to get the rear winch tucked in. Rear body interior panels and dash fabricated by a friend of mines shop. Custom rear fenders that have outer removable fenders like the front ones. In the final stages of putting it together for the final assembly.
