Hi, I’m Alyssa!
I was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a life threatening genetic disease that damages your lungs and digestive system along with every other organ in the body. Currently, there is no cure for CF, yet over 1000 people each year are diagnosed with this disease. This debilitating disease severely limited my life and activities growing up. Much of my time was spent in hospitals of getting IV antibiotics, for weeks to months at a time. In 2014, my disease progressed and I was placed on continuous oxygen.
In 2015, I was told that I would need a double lung transplant. As scary as this prognosis was, this would be the beginning of my new life. April 23rd was the day I received my first double lung transplant. After this, I found the best way to enjoy my new lungs was through Jeeping! So I got IttyBitty as a stock Jeep and built it up from there!
Since then I have gone through two more double lung transplants and kicked cancers butt! Nothing is stronger than a person's will to live
