I was on the hunt for months for an older, offroad capable SUV to build after spending about 10 years in the street car world. I had previously been driving a Mercedes E55 AMG and had about enough of the over engineered, problematic German cars to say the least...it was time for a change. Along with being over having a “cool” or “fast” car that I had to worry about cleaning constantly, I enjoy doing a plethora of outdoor activities year-round that become rather limited when you don’t have an offroad capable vehicle. Trail riding, hiking places with my dog, sand volleyball, lake days, snowboarding, motocross just to name a few of my life-long hobbies.
Months of searching lead my XJ you see here from a retired military veteran in San Antonio, TX. Overall it was in MUCH better shape than most of the 20yr old rust bucket Jeeps you see on the road today. I got lucky and found a diamond in the rough. I plan on building it to be capable enough for cross-country adventures! Enjoy!
