I had been looking for a Cheyenne for awhile. My grandpa owned a 77 Cheyenne when I was a little boy. I had found this one on Facebook for 1000 bucks. I messaged the owner if they would take 500 for her and they agreed. My little brother Juan and I had made the 3 hour trip to Corning, Ca to get her. She was a little rough all around inside and out. Flat tire, interior shot. Steering column bearing was disintegrated. Like I said rough. But it took a few hours to get her ready to load on the trailer. Blew a rear tire, pulled my spare from my truck to put on her. Then the owner decided to get his tractor and push her onto the trailer. Much easier. We had dropped her off at my work and from there I started ripping out the interior. I found so much coinage I'm the cab. But, how she got her name was there kicker. The very first coin I found was a 1976 Penny. And bingo! That is how she was named. I have that Penny in the ash tray right now. It's been a journey so far. But well worth it.
