1954 DODGE M152 KOREAN WAR COMMAND/RADIO TRUCK The M152 flat fender power wagon (ffpw) is a member of the 3/4 ton G-741 military 4×4 truck family that also includes the M37 ammo carrier pickup truck and M43 ambulance. Modified from M43 ambulances, these rare M152 command trucks included changes such as a single rear door with folding stairs, desks, radios, antennae, red map lighting and distinctive grid-covered side windows with full black-out canvas shades. About 1,000 M152 were made, but it is unknown how many survive as only 8 are currently on the G-741 registry. This command truck, build number 3458, was built in 1954 by Dodge Windsor for the Canadian Army and has undergone a 5 year grueling reconstruction into this extremely capable, self-contained, Zombie Apocalypse bugout, overland earth trekker called: SEA TO SHINING SEA ALL 4 CORNERS AND ALASKA ... or bust Designed by Glenn Saber and hand built by Glenn and Larry Messing on the floor of their garage, every nut and bolt was painstakingly removed, restored, replaced or redesigned. This rare American tribute truck is built to leisurely and reliably ply our back roads, visit national parks, historic monuments, mom & pop establishments, crawl off-road, dry camp, fish, pan and ... bring big smiles wherever it goes.
