Stryten Energy's Reluctance Jeep can go where other vehicles can’t, bringing power to remote terrain or weather-impacted areas during periods of prolonged power outages. This modified JK Crew Jeep is a hybrid diesel-electric vehicle equipped with a diesel tank that will fast charge a set of Stryten Energy Li700 lithium-ion batteries in under 15 minutes. The stored energy then powers an electric motor capable of 550hp. The system is highly efficient, requiring very little fuel and allowing the Jeep to achieve a high mileage range per gallon. The Stryten Energy system can charge and discharge simultaneously, and the advanced lithium battery can charge up to 4 C, which will allow the battery pack to charge in approximately 14 minutes. Stryten Energy collaborated with Bruiser Conversions and FuelTech to build Reluctance over a 13-month period and debuted at the 2024 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Stryten Energy is a U.S.-based manufacturer of lead, lithium and vanadium energy storage solutions. Through innovative projects like the Reluctance, Stryten is combining its deep battery knowledge and engineering expertise to help solve the world’s most pressing energy challenges.
