Like many of you, the bug definitely bit me. I have always wanted to own a Jeep Wrangler and when I finally started making some money, I bought a used, bone-stock , granite 2014 Jeep JK from Carmax (Wow did I overpay!, at least it was unmolested). My inspiration was from an article in Fourwheeler Mag (that I now cannot find) of a nicely built 2 door with the same paint color. I had big ambitions for this build, but I learned a ton throughout the process. The most valuable thing I learned from building this rig was simply how to wrench on vehicles. This JK is built to handle some of the hardest trails, but has a lot more revisions in the works that can make it better. I haven't decided if I should invest more money in this one or also buy a JLU and start building that up. This Jeep has taken me everywhere from the Rubicon, Fordyce, Moab, and the Hammers. Not to mention all the lesser known trails in-between. What a huge positive this Jeep has brought to my life!
