Willy 2.0 – Story Behind the Featured Build
Willy 2.0 isn’t new to the Jeep world when she picked up her 2022 Jeep Wrangler Willys Xtreme Recon. She previously had a 2014 JKU Willys Sport that showed her the Jeep world and soon fell in love with it. But what is an Xtreme Recon?
Jeep has offered a Wrangler Rubicon Recon package a few times with small changes over the base Rubicon. But in 2021, Jeep offered the Xtreme Recon package. This time around, it was a lot more than some basic changes. You can opt for the Xtreme Recon in 3 different models, the Willys, the Rubicon and the 392 Wrangler.
Willy 2.0 opted for Willy’s edition as her previous Jeep Wrangler was also a Willy’s. The package came with 4.56 gears, a limited-slip rear differential, 35in BFGoodrich KO2s, and beadlock-capable wheels. A great starting point for any type of wheeler.
The Jeep Wrangler truly is a blank canvas for customers to modify and make their Wrangler truly there’s. And Willy 2.0 quickly started to make small changes to fit her Jeep. Originally the Jeep came with the basic front bumper, but she loved the look of the Mopar steel bumper and soon found one and swapped it out. A lot is planned for the Jeep, but more modifications will come once down the road. Future plans are adding a lift kit and 38in tires.
If you live in the PNW (Pacific Northwest) chances are you might find Willy 2.0 out exploring everything the PNW has to offer. So if you see her, make sure to say hi as they love meeting new Jeep friends.
