Featured Build: Storm

With a build name like Storm, you can expect that this week’s Featured Build is always down to crush whatever it takes on. For Nastassia, the owner of this 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU Rubicon, wheelin’ is a way of life that she doesn’t plan on giving up anytime soon. Keep reading to see how her X-Men inspired build, Storm came to be.

How did you get into off-roading and the Jeep Scene?

I grew up in South Africa but was too young to really experience the outdoors. I used to watch this show and the girls had a Red Jeep Wrangler, and kinda knew I always wanted one. I had a Jeep (Grand Cherokee) and when it got wrecked, I had to get a Wrangler! I bought a ‘99 TJ and once the JLs came out I ordered my Storm. Once I started my @stormjeepjl instagram, I felt so welcomed into the Jeep community and started going out to Jeep meets and different offroading parks around Houston/Austin, Texas area.

Now I cannot imagine my life without Jeepin’!

Tell us about the build process for your build, Storm?

The name Storm came from Storm from Xmen of course! I draw inspiration from two of my favorite builds: Rebel Offroad JL Command Vehicle and Easter Jeep Safari Flatbill Gladiator. I mix my favorite elements from them whilst keeping true to Storm.

What are you most proud of with your Jeep?

I am most proud of the stance of my Jeep, that’s contributed from my wheels, tires and lift! I love the Metal Cloak Lift, it makes me feel like I can conquer just about anything on the trails!

What are your favorite spots to wheel?

I just started wheeling. But I’ve enjoyed Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls, Texas the most. Other favorites are Still Waters Offroad Ranch and General Sams Offroad…basically anywhere I can take my dogs!

What’s next for your build?

I’m working on some Storm graphics and skid plates!

What advice do you have for someone who’s new to the scene and wants to take on their first build?

Take your time and do plenty research! Do some wheeling first to figure out what you need. Also, choose a shop that you trust to do your work if you are not going to do it yourself. I found a shop close to me in Navasota, Texas: BNL Jeep Shop, awesome work and you can be part of your build and learn!

Make some Jeep friends, the Jeeping community is so awesome and you will have friends for life to go offroading with!

There it is, y’all. Now that Nastassia finally has Storm, she’s ready to explore the trails and the community that comes with these crazy things called Jeeps and it seems to be working out quite nicely for her. We kind of get the sense that we’ve barely seen what Storm is capable of and know that whatever comes next is going to be big and exciting to watch.
